We have been involved in the club lamb business for over fifty years, and have been working with the present herd of Hamps, Suffolks and Crosses for over twenty years. Our goal is to breed sheep that have the style, length, muscle and size to do well in market shows. At the same time, the females are still those easy-keeping, functional kind of sheep that will also work well for the club lamb producer. We do a lot of linebreeding in our program, and believe this helps build predictability in our sheep. We have been genetic testing our sheep for several years, and as you will note from the information on the sire page, our sheep are heavy with the R factor. Every ram we used this year tested NN for the spider gene. We love talking sheep, and invite you to stop by for a visit anytime you are in the area. |
